This issue of Collision features the most detailed and in-depth analysis of Hyundai and Kia crash data published to date. This extensive review of the functionality of the Hyundai-Kia "EDR Tool," application in crash tests and real-world examples is the follow up to the preliminary review found in the last issue of Collision.

In addition, in "Differentiating Potentially Causal Pre-crash Component Damage from Crash Damage" we get a look at methods for evaluating damaged components and an iterative method of investigating the potential of a pre-crash mechanical failure which may have lead to or contributed to a crash. That analysis is carried on into the interesting look at vehicle examinations in "Evidence Sometimes Overlooked During Vehicle Inspections." A look at distracted driving, three wheel motorcycle friction testing and an examination of crash data in small overlap tests conducted by the IIHS and the effect of rotation rounds out the contents of this indispensable issue of Collision magazine.
